Gamma describes the dashboard as the main workspace for accessing and organizing your content.
Step 6: Click Create New AI
To create your first project, select Create New AI or the current Create option in your Gamma workspace.
Gamma provides creation options such as:
- Generate – create content from a topic or prompt

The exact interface can vary as Gamma updates its creation experience.

Step 7: Enter Your Prompt
Choose what you want Gamma to create and describe your idea.
Example prompt:
Create a 10-slide presentation about the best AI tools for students. Include an introduction, five AI tools, key features, benefits, pricing information, and a conclusion.
You don’t need to write a perfect prompt. Gamma’s current Agent workflow can ask follow-up questions and help shape the project before generating it.
Step 8: Choose a Theme and Generate
After providing your instructions, choose a suitable visual style or theme.
Gamma can automatically generate:
- Slide structure
- Written content
- Layouts
- Images/visuals
- Design elements
Then select Generate to create your project. Gamma’s official workflow describes choosing a theme and generating the first draft automatically.
Step 9: Edit and Improve Your Presentation
Once Gamma generates the project, review every slide.
You can:
- Edit text
- Change images
- Modify layouts
- Add or remove slides
- Change themes
- Use AI to improve content
- Add additional media
Gamma’s AI editing tools can refine individual content areas, while the current Agent experience can also help generate and modify content.
Step 10: Present, Share, or Export
After finishing your project, you can use Gamma’s sharing and export options.
Depending on the content and available plan/features, Gamma supports options such as:
- Present directly from Gamma
