Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Open the Tome AI Website
Go to the Tome website and look for the Sign Up / Get Started option.
For the AI presentation workflow, Tome’s documentation says you need to be signed in before using its AI presentation-generation feature.
What to do:
- Open your browser.
- Search for Tome AI.
- Open the official Tome website.
- Click Sign Up or Get Started.
Step 2: Create Your Account
Tome’s account screen has traditionally offered account creation through options such as Google or email. A historical Tome signup screen shows Continue with Google, email and password fields.
Enter:
- Email address
- Password
Then click Continue/Create Account.
If Google sign-in is available, you can also use your Google account.
Step 3: Log In to Tome AI
If you already have an account, select Sign In / Log In instead of creating another account.
Login process:
- Open the Tome website.
- Click Sign In.
- Enter your email.
- Enter your password.
- Click Sign In/Login.
If you forget your password, use the Forgot Password option.
Step 4: Open Your Tome Workspace
After logging in, you should arrive at your workspace.

Look for an option such as:

This is the main feature you’ll use to create a presentation from a prompt.
Step 5: Click "Generate with AI"

Step 6: Enter Your Presentation Prompt
Now tell Tome what presentation you want.
For example:
Create a 10-page presentation about the future of artificial intelligence. Include AI trends, business applications, benefits, challenges, examples, and future predictions. Use a modern professional design.
Tome recommends providing details such as the topics, image style, charts or diagrams, formatting preferences, and desired number of pages.

Topic + Audience + Number of Pages + Style + Content Requirements
Example:
Create an 8-page presentation about AI tools for students. Target audience: college students. Include popular AI tools, use cases, benefits, limitations, and practical examples. Use a clean modern professional style.
Step 7: Generate the Outline
After entering your prompt, click Generate Outline.
Tome’s AI first creates an outline based on your request. You can then edit, remove, reorder, or add topics before generating the actual pages.
You can:
- Edit a topic
- Add a new topic
- Remove a topic
- Change the order
- Adjust the presentation structure
Tip: Review the outline before generating all pages because this determines the structure of your presentation.
Step 8: Generate the Presentation
Once you are happy with the outline, Tome provides options for generating the presentation.
Its documented workflow includes Choose layouts for more control or Generate all pages for a faster automated process.
Option 1 — Generate All Pages
Tome automatically creates the presentation.
Option 2 — Choose Layouts
You can review different page/layout options and select the ones you prefer.
For beginners, Generate All Pages is the simpler workflow.
Step 9: Edit and Customize Your Presentation
After Tome generates the presentation, you can modify the content.
Tome’s documented editing features include changing text, adding content tiles, changing themes, and using AI to rewrite or adjust text.
You can edit:
- Headings
- Paragraphs
- Images
- Layouts
- Themes
- Colors
- Content
- Page order
You can also use Tome’s AI editing features to rewrite text, change its tone, shorten content, expand content, or correct writing.
Step 10: Present and Share Your Tome
When your presentation is finished, use the Share option to share it with others.
The Tome Help Center documents sharing through a link and collaboration through invited teammates.
You can:
- Click Share.
- Configure the sharing permission.
- Copy the presentation link.
- Send the link to your audience.
